The Artis College of Science and Technology at Radford University presents the Radford University Science and Technology Festival 2018 on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Davis Hall.

Enjoy a day of exploration and fun with science on the Radford University campus during our first Science and Technology Festival. The Science and Technology Festival will feature hands-on experiments, planetarium shows, and demos for all ages from departments at Radford University as well as Virginia Tech, regional businesses, Radford City Public Schools, and more.

Schedule of Special Events:

• 10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Cryptology: "How the Navajo Code Talkers helped win World War II"

• 10:30 am: Planetarium Show - Flight Adventures

• 11:30 am: Grand Opening of the Phosphorescent Rock Mine Exhibit

Come out and enjoy the 2017 Annual Radford Highlanders Festival on Saturday, October 21, 9:00AM-5:00PM.  The festival will take place at Bisset Park in Radford.

The Radford Highlander Festival brings together Scottish Highland Games, Celtic music, massed pipe and drum band performance, Scottish clan march, sheep-herding demonstrations, booths from more than 50 craft and food vendors and family friendly entertainment for festival lovers of all ages.

• 9:00 am - Highland Games begin         

• 10:00-10:30 am - Grand Entry - Massed Bands and Scottish Clans

• 10:00 am: Brave Heart 5K Run/Walk begins
