Easter Egg Hunts

 

It is time to make special memories! Here are a few area Easter Egg Hunts that your children will enjoy! These “ eggstraspecial” events include:

Blacksburg Easter Egg Hunts

You have 2 opportunities to hunt for Easter eggs in Blacksburg on this Saturday, April 7, 2012. One egg hunt will be on First & Main shopping center and the other in Municipal Park.

The Blacksburg Parks and Rec Department is hosting the Municipal Park Egg Hunt that starts at 10 a.m., for those 3 years old and under, and at 10:30 for children 4 – 8 pm. This park is often called Hand and Hand Park which is located on Turner Street.

Event co-sponsors are the Virginia Tech's chapters of Circle K and Chi Delta Alpha.

The egg hunt on First & Main is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Registration starts at 11 a.m. in front of On a Whim. The egg hunt begins at 11:30 a.m. Two age groups will be featured: Children under 6 and kids that are 6-9 years old.

Other activities at these events include an obstacle course, live music, crafts, a cake walk, guessing games and giveaways!  Participants are asked to bring two canned items to donate to Interfaith Food Pantry.

Christiansburg Easter Egg Hunt

The Great Christiansburg Easter Egg Hunt will be scheduled Saturday, April 7th at College Street Park located behind the National Guard Armory. Call (540) 382-2349 in case of rain and to register for the event. The Easter Egg Hunt is for children ages 12 and under. The cost is $1 per participant. Here is the schedule for age groups:

10:00 a.m. for children under 3
10:15 a.m. for children 3-5
10:30 a.m. for children 6-8
10:45 a.m. for children 9-12

Arrive early to check-in. Bring your basket for the egg hunt and dress for a picture with the Easter bunny, cost $1.

 

 

Radford Residents:

Belview Methodist Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt for Radford residents from 2-3:30 on April 7th, Saturday, at the church location on 3619 Onyx Drive, please call (540) 639-1230 if you have questions.
