Christiansburg

Tuesday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Christiansburg for vendors, local bands, a kids' area, Touch a Truck, your favorite Christiansburg Farmers' Market regulars and much more!

But the party's not over once we leave Main Street! Come on out to the Christiansburg High School stadium that evening for your favorite fireworks show. The stadium opens at 8:30 p.m., with fireworks starting around 9:15.

The rain date for fireworks is Wednesday, July 5, at 9:15 p.m.

Blacksburg

The Town of Blacksburg and the Mount Tabor Ruritan Club present the 31st Annual 4th of July Parade on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in downtown Blacksburg, VA starting at 2:00 pm.

Enjoy floats, bicycles, wagons, marchers, walkers, antique and classic cars, race cars, horses, fire engines, scouts, bands, sports teams and more in the 31st Annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade. The parade route begins at the old Blacksburg Middle School property and continues along Main Street ending at Alumni Mall near Virginia Tech's Drillfield.

The parade starts at 2:00 pm and the line-up begins at 1:30 pm.

Beginning at 6:00 pm, the Blacksburg Parks & Recreation Department will have their annual celebration with fireworks and live music at Blacksburg Municipal Park.

Smithfield Plantation Blacksburg

Smithfield Plantation presents their 2017 Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 10 am until 2 pm.

Enjoy the most American holiday at the most historic site in the area!

Activities include:

• Cannon Firing on the Hour

• Apple Pie Baking Contest

• Reading of the Fincastle Resolution and Declaration of Independence

• House Tours available for regular admission

• Living History Camp

• Blacksmith Demonstrations

• Colonial Dancing

Admission to the outside activities is free. House tours are regular admission price.

Radford

The City of Radford presents their 2017 "Spirit of America" July 4th Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Bisset Park.

Enjoy a full day of live music, kids activities and attractions including a inflatables, climbing wall and more, food and craft vendors and of course great fireworks to close the event!
